Lesson 122

 

 

 

The words above mentioned are the content of the proclamation, which will utter Great Company and after it the whole mankind, when the judgement already will be done over Babylon. (verses 1-5; Questions, page 291).

To the numerical calculation was used Greek text (according to Nestle).

Farther words, "for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints," do not belong to the content of the voice. Diaglott treats them as the parenthetical insertion. It is similarly in the English translation R.S.V. (Revised Standard Version).

The number "1948" represents the quantity of years, since the spring 33 (32,25), during which the Church prepares to the Wedding of the Lamb (1980,25).

Lesson 123

 

One of the books of Scripture is titled "The Song of Songs." The content of this whole book is the love of the Bridegroom to the Bride.

Here is the numerical value of first verse, which begins the content of this "Book of Love":

The number "2948" shows the quantity of years, from Resurrection our Lord in spring of 33 (32,25) till the uniting the Church with the Lord in spring of 1981 (1980,25) plus 1000. If year 33 is put as first in our calculation, then we will receive a such equation:

 

32  +  2948  =  1980  +  1000

"A judge, in ancient times, was one who executed justice and relieved the oppressed (...) So, though the world has long been under the power and oppression of the adversary, Satan, yet shortly he who pays for the sins of all with his own precious blood will take his great power and reign. He will deliver and judge those whom he so loved as to redeem." (Volume I, pages 142, 143)

 

 

The number "3549" defines the quantity of years, from the beginning of the Period of the Judges (1569 B.C.) till to the beginning of the reign of the Lord with the whole Church, when it will be exalted at the First Resurrection (1980 A.D.).

Christ's church, as the whole, will receive the "crown of the life" not earlier, until it shall have finished its course lasting 1948 years. The illustration of this is history of Rebecca. After the finished journey, at the meeting with Isaac, she dismounted from the camel and covered the face with a veil (the picture of passing of the Church "beyond the second veil") and then she was introduced to the tent of Isaac mother.

The promise, which is contained in Rev. 2:10 belongs to the individuals and to the Church as the whole as well.

The number "1885" shows on the quantity years which has been elapsing from the vision to the reality:

Lesson 134

"Having a wall great and high; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names written thereon, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel" (verse 12).

This is numerical value of names of the twelve sons of Jacob, in Hebrew, according to the order showed in Rev. 7:5-8:

 

 

Numerical value "3517" defines the period, which elapsed from autumn 537 A.D., when Cyrus issued an edict allowing to build the temple (2 Chron. 36:23), till to the year 1980 + 1000.

 

3517  –  537  =  1980  +  1000

 

Lesson 135

"And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb" (Rev. 21:14).

Professor Franc Delitzch from Leipzig translated for Jews the New Testament from Greek to Hebrew. (Look Volume III, pages 282, 286)

This is numerical value of the names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb, in Hebrew, according to the order showed in Matt. 10:2-4. We will replace the name of Judas with the name "Paul."

 

 

The names of the twelve Apostles of Lamb were on the twelve foundations (the layers of the foundation) of the Holy City, the New Jerusalem. The foundations were of the most precious and the most beautiful stones. (Rev. 21:19, 20). The precious Stones with the names of Apostles of Jesus Christ represent the glorified Church. This Church was also represented by the temple Salomon, which pictures Christ in the glory.

Numerical value of twelve names of the Lamb's Apostles equal 4015. It shows the quantity years which had to elapse, from the year 1035 B.C., when Salomon began to build the temple, till to the year 1980 A.D. + 1000.

 

4015  –  1035  =  2980  =  1980 + 1000

 

Lesson 136

All the words of the list of the precious stones of the Holy City of New Jerusalem and their numerical value were specified below. The calculation is based on the Greek text of the New Testament according to first and second release of Bible by the "British and Foreign Bible Society" in Poland, in years 1952 and 1954.

 

 

The number "19800" suggests the proper number in the scale 10:1:
 

 

1980  x  10  =  19800

 

The explanation of the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus (Luke 16:28), by brother Russell, can serve as the motivation for the use of the scale in showed above numeric calculation. "Two tribes represented in the one rich man and the other ten tribes represented in the five brethren. You see two make the one, so the ten would make the five proportionately." (Questions, page 399; look also comment to Luke 16:28).

From all passed lessons, we can see, that the course of the Church will end soon. The waited date, year 1980 (1981) is before us. It is obvious, that the Lord informs his Church about the last events, which will come to the world. The church should prepare so that it can appropriately "to stand before the Son of man" (Luke. 21:34-36).

Today's situation is similar to that, in which there were Israelites before they entered the Promised Land.
