SAMSON
The prayers of all the saints have been heard
There we learn that the plan of God, with reference to man, spans three great periods of time, beginning with man's creation and reaching into the illimitable future. Peter and Paul designate these periods "three worlds."
The first, from creation to the flood, was under the ministration of angels, and is called by Peter "The world which was." (2 Pet. 3:6). The second great epoch, from the flood to the establishment of the kingdom of God, is under the limited control of Satan, "the prince of this world," and is therefore called "This present evil world." (Gal. 1:4; 2 Pet. 3:7).
The third is to be a "world without end" (Isa. 45:17) under divine administration, the kingdom of God, and is called "The world to come – wherein dwelleth righteousness." (Heb. 2:5; 2 Pet. 3:13).
The first of these periods, or "worlds," under the ministration of angels, was a failure; the second, under the rule of Satan, the usurper, has been indeed an "evil world"; but the third will be an era of righteousness and of blessing to all the families of the earth.
The present, or second period, is called "the present evil world," not because there is nothing good in it, but because in it evil is permitted to predominate.
The today's world in which we live – "this world" (gr. kosmos, from: kosmeo – to put in proper order, i.e. decorate) he goes by so how the first world went by but the literal earth as a place to dwell for the mankind, it stands for ever (Isa. 45:18; Eccles. 1:4). "The god of this world," Satan (2 Cor. 4:4) has established this world in his own way: the clergy of Christianity, being obedient to him, he made the symbolic heaven, meanwhile religious societies he organized with mutual relations, and he made them as the symbolic earth. This establishment of such a world by the prince of darkness did not bring to anyone not a happiness, not a peace, not a eternal life. It brought about meanwhile innumerable harms, killings, sufferings, diseases and perpetually the death toll. That is why our Saviour, Jesus Christ said: "My kingdom is not of this world," and He told to pray: "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth." (John 18:36; Matt. 6:10).
It was to be during his second coming that this Kingdom of his own will be established. God's people cheered up on coming of this Kingdom, for centuries prayed for it, and they were looking forward for the right time, when will the ecclesiastical, corrupted "heaven" be replaced with the "heaven" of the righteous power of Christ and of his exalted Church, in which the mankind, regenerated according to the principles of love, will become the "new earth," and "sea" of angry nations will exists no more. (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:1).
Our Lord, Jesus, illustrated the manner of removal of the overwhelming power of Satan, as follows: "But no one can enter into the house of the strong [man], and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong [man]; and then he will spoil his house." (Mar. 3:27).
This is comment to this verse:
"He [Satan] is being bound in proportion as the Truth becomes known; for thus his liberties are restrained. This binding process must go on to a considerable extent before the great Time of Trouble shall come. The Strong Man of the House must be bound before his goods can be spoiled. All the present institutions of the world are Satan's goods and arrangements. These will be spoiled in the great time of anarchy which will make ready for the establishment of the Kingdom of Messiah. Before anarchy comes Satan must be bound. How will it come then, if he be bound? The collapse of Babylon will indicate that Satan has been quite fully bound. He is working very hard with ecclesiastical systems and false doctrines. Their collapse will mean his binding." (Q 625:2 – 1916)
God freed nations from the darkness of Middle Ages by their enlightenment. Enlightenment wakes in down-trodden masses the discontent, and in the end the discontent leads the old world to anarchy. Such a destructive process is however friendly in relation to the mankind because it is God's working aimed at overthrowing of Satan empire.
This is excerpts from IV volume of Studies in the Scriptures written in 1897 (pages XIV, XV):
"The question now arises, Why did not God send his Kingdom sooner? Why is Armageddon necessary? We answer that God has his own times and seasons, and that He has appointed the Great Seventh Thousand-Year Day for the reign of Christ. Divine wisdom has withheld until our day the great knowledge and skill which is breeding at the same time millionaires and discontents. Had God lifted the veil of ignorance a thousand years sooner, the world would have lined up for Armageddon a thousand years sooner. God did not bring these things before the present time because his Plan has various parts, all of which are converging at the same time. In kindness God veiled the eyes of mankind until the gathering to Armageddon would immediately precede Messiah's taking to himself his great power and beginning His reign. (Rev. 11:17,18)."
"As an earthly king does not hold himself responsible for the moral character of each soldier who fights his battles, so the Lord does not vouch for the moral character of all who enlist and fight on his side of any question. His servants they are to whom they render service, whatever the motive or object prompting. The same principle will apply in the coming Battle of Armageddon. God's side of that battle will be the people's side; and that very nondescript host, the people, will be pitted at the beginning of the battle. Anarchists, Socialists, and hot-headed radicals of every school of reason and unreason, will be in the forefront of that battle."
"When this great 'earthquake' of social revolution comes, it will not be a mere handful of anarchists, but an uprising of the people to throw off the great power that is strangling them. Selfishness is at the bottom of the whole matter."
The Scriptures describes in the various way the formation, growth and the fight of that revolutionary army of our Lord. Dramatic history of strong man of God, Samson, is one of the illustrations of the revolutionary social transformations in the fourth quarter of the nineteenth century. In general outlines it presents meaning and the activity of the bolshevism – the most radical wing of the socialistic movement which came into being in Russia. More detailed illustration of this movement is showed in the visions of the Revelation as blowing the trumpet of seven angels (Rev. 8:7-9:21; 11:15-19).
It is the very characteristic thing that the revolutionary movement of the working class has started in Russia together with the beginning of the seventh thousand of years from Adam fall (1874). The beginning of the Christ's second presence came just then. The Lord present second time, invisible, but recognized by defined signs, which he left for his disciples, he set about historical revenging on rich men class and clergy class.
From among all various European empires (so-called "Christian") of nineteenth century, the Russian empire distinguished itself the most in the oppressing and enslaving of the lowest social classes. From this cause already very early, in the dawn of our Lord's presence, radical revolutionary ideas found here a wide support. Already in 1875, at Odessa, the first working-class organization came into being under the name, the "South Russian Workers' Union". In 1878, at Petersburg, the leading workers created the own organization named, the "Northern Union of Russian Workers." In 1883, the first Marxist organization, the "Emancipation of Labor" came into being with Plechanow in the lead. It was then just that Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (Ulyanov) advanced on forehead of the activists of the working class of Russia.
Lenin, with the use of "Iskra" newspaper (the first edition of it was published in Stuttgart on December 1, 1900) he showed the need of the creation of the party free and clever to the final aim – to make the classes of workers and peasants to be burning with the fire of the revolution so, that the motto of Marx and Engel, "Workers of the world, unite!" should become second nature to the class of working class of Russia ("From a spark a fire will flare up").
The igniting of this symbolic fire was pictured in the vision, as follows:
"And another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should add it unto the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne (...) And the angel taketh the censer; and he filled it with the fire of the altar, and cast it upon the earth: and there followed thunders, and voices, and lightnings, and an earthquake." (Rev. 8:3-5).
This angel, which keeps service at the gold altar and is making offerings thereon, it is Jesus Christ himself, the High Priest, by whose God hears the prayers of the church. (John 16:23, 24; Hebr. 2:17; 3:1).
The church sees the injustice of human rules, the universally reigning sin, misery, diseases and death, and only in God she places her hope for final deliverance of the mankind from so the unfortunate condition. That is why she also prayed about the coming of God's Kingdom on the earth, prophesied by all prophets from of old. (Matt. 6:10; Acts 3:20, 21).
✽ ✽ ✽
When only the millennial day of Christ reign has come, a prayers which for centuries have been said by church can be answered. However, before God's Kingdom will begin to grant people the blessings, there have to be removed from the earth all systems, which were oppressing them. Moreover, there has to also be punished the class of the secular and religious despots who throughout centuries kept the peoples in the merciless yoke.
When the dawn of the Lord's presence began to distract the darkness, from the Gold Altar representing the sacrifice of the Jesus Christ, have began to fall down upon the earth (societies) the fiery truths which cause intellectual stimulation, angry words and arguments leading to the social revolution (earthquake).
From then on, all people fervently devoted to the idea of revolutionary changes began to join with each other. The history enumerates three events which were at the very beginning of the creation of the battle party of Bolsheviks:
(1) Establishment in 1895 at Petersburg by V. I. Lenin of the illegal social democratic organization, the "League of Struggle for the Emancipation of the Working Class." This organization was the beginning of the proletarian party at Russia.
(2) The forming of the
Russian Social Democratic Labour Party (RSDLP) at the first congress of it in 1898.
(3) The issuing of the first edition of "Iskra" newspaper on December 1, 1900. Alexander Pushkin:
"From a spark a fire will flare up."
In the article edited by "Iskra" there was propagated the task of the creation of the Marxist party closely-connected with the working-class movement and there was underlined the necessity of complete and final repudiation of all attempts to introduce opportunism into the proletarian class struggle – attempts that have found expression in the so-called Economism, legal Marxism, Bernsteinism, etc.
V. I. Lenin: "Before we can unite, and in order that we may unite, we must first of all draw firm and definite lines of demarcation."
✽ ✽ ✽
Along with the appearance of "Iskra", of Lenin newspaper, the final period of the forming of the Marxist party of Russia has began.
In front of the Russian proletariat has been set the task, which the working class did not know in no other country as yet. It had to make the decisive influence on the bourgeois revolution and then to transform its victory into an arena of the struggle for its social aims. It had to have the Marxist battle party to this aim. Creation of such party was the highest calling of the newspaper "Iskra." (The history of Communist Party of the Soviet Union, volume 1, pages: 306, 310, 382, 384, 407)
From what was mentioned above it appears that the Lenin's genius fully realized the need of the complete independence of organization, which he was creating. The party which he intended to set against the whole world had to be strong with idealism, uncompromising nature and an sober assessment of all things. This reminds the Samson's situation, of lonely hero who was not understood even by his own nation. The Nazirite vow required among other things to abstain from the wine and intoxicating liquors. It is the symbolic wine of the false doctrines, blunting the general sensibility to the harm and human misery, with which the Roman harlot has made drunk the men all over the world. (Rev. 17:1-4). The Roman clergy for the long centuries was preparing deceitful theories from biblical statements, only for this to keep the nations in obedience. It is the paradoxical thing that this atheistic communist movement just has began to expose in the uncompromising way this vile practice, which is insulting the Divine love.
