IMPORTANCE OF THE KINGDOM   The most momentous event of earth's history is the establishment of God's Kingdom among men, in the hands of our Lord Jesus and his selected joint-heirs, the overcomers of the Gospel Church. This great event, toward which all of God's promises and types point, we now see to be not only at hand, but just upon us. None of those awake to these facts, and who properly or even partially realize them, and whose hearts are in full sympathy with God's great plan of the ages, and who see that God's panacea for the sin and misery and dying of the groaning creation is to be applied by this Kingdom, can possibly feel other than an absorbing interest in the fact, the time and the manner of its establishment.     CLASSES OF MEN INTERESTED IN IT   All who trust implicitly for the fulfilment of the prayer our Lord himself taught us to offer – "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven" – must feel the liveliest interest in the fulfilment of their request, if they prayed from the heart – in spirit and in truth. ETERNAL WISDOM IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made." John 1:1-3     The name the Word (gr. Logos) does not relate to our Lord personal nature, but his office. He was the Word as the spiritual being in his pre-human existence, when He was the Great Prince, Michael the archangel (Michael means: Who as God). Jude 9; Dan. 12:1.     "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us" John 1:14     The One, who was the Word, spoke words put in his mouth by the Father (Deut. 18:18). "ALL THINGS MUST NEEDS BE FULFILLED, WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES, AND THE PROPHETS, AND THE PSALMS, CONCERNING ME" Luke 24:44     Since the second century of the pre-Christian era the Jews divided their holy books on three parts: (1) Moses' law (Torah), (2) prophets (Nebiim), (3) other books (Ketubim). From this third part, Jesus put Psalms first, in which there are numerous mentions about his torments. The Lord Jesus expressed words quoted on the title after his resurrection, when He appeared eleventh time to his disciples. THE MANNER OF OUR LORD'S RETURN "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief" 2 Pet. 3:10 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God..." 1 Thess. 4:16 "This Jesus, who was received up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye beheld him going into heaven." Acts 1:11 "Behold, he cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they that pierced him..." Rev. 1:7     The records of the Scriptures relating to the manner of the second coming of our Lord are not easy to the understanding for ordinary reader, because their main thoughts are as if somehow contradictory with themselves. Some of them say that the Christ will come as the thief – silently, secretly. Meanwhile others are presenting His coming as the great manifestation – accompanied by innumerable angelic hosts, with the sounds of the great trumpet – in the way through the whole world noticed (Rev. 1:7; 16:15; Matt. 24:31). GOD'S GREAT SUPPER FOR BIRDS     The prophet Daniel, by one of his visions was familiarized with Divine view of universal empires' rules which had wielded the world during so-called the Times of the Gentiles (606 B.C. to 1914 A.D.). In a dream he saw a four amazing beasts, which were emerging from the sea. All of them filled with fear, but at the sight of fourth prophet was overcame with terror. Describing the three first beasts, he compared them to wild animals, lion, bear and the leopard. Fourth beast seemed to him to be the really devilish creature, because he did not find in it the similarity to none of animals created by God; such horrendous was the very sight and the horrendous power, with which this beast devoured and crushed all round.     The rule of Rome came after relatively moderate rules of Babylon, Medo-Persia and Greece. This universal empire, first pagan and later papal, it outran in bestial cruelty and the length of duration of all the previous powers. THE END OF THE SECOND AND THE BEGINNING OF THE THIRD "WOE"   "And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell; and there were killed in the earthquake seven thousand persons [literally: names]: and the rest were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven." (Rev. 11:13). "The great earthquake" pictured in the vision was fulfilled as so-called "Polish revolution" – the wave of working-class strikes in August 1980 in Poland. The fall of "the tenth part of the city" as the result of the earthquake represents the fall of the People's Republic of Poland (PRL), one of ten nations, which had united in the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (COMECON). Expression "people's names" of verse 11:13 is correct translation of Greek words "onomata anthrwpwn." THE THIRD WOE   "The second Woe is past: behold, the third Woe cometh quickly. Our Lord named the violent taking over a power the great tribulation, because it is connected with great discontent, annoyances and calamities of people. WOE, WOE, WOE   "And I saw, and I heard an eagle, flying in mid heaven, saying with a great voice, Woe, woe, woe, for them that dwell on the earth, by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, who are yet to sound." (Rev. 8:13). God's people, against a background of occurring historical events aiming to a critical moment inevitably, they fulfilled their mission as the long-sighted "eagle," flying in the middle of the ecclesiastical heaven. (Luke 17:37). This mission, intensified particularly in the last several years before first world war, it announced the approaching the end of the Times of Gentiles, and coming three "woes" – war, revolution and anarchy. (1 Kgs. 19:11,12). THE BLOWING THE TRUMPET SEVEN ANGELS     "And the seven angels that had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound." (Rev. 8:6).       Blowing the trumpet seven angels represents the development of the revolutionary movement – the bolshevism (Rev. 8:2). Four first of blowing the trumpet portray organization, planning, manifestation and the growth of the revolutionary movement. It was the preparation of the revolutionary masses with the propaganda of four Congresses of the RSDLP to attack on the bastions of Christianity as soon as the Times of the Pagans are expired (1914). Three remaining of blowing the trumpet – woes, they concern to the three phases of the fall of Christianity in war, revolution and anarchy as the the result of the farther advancing of the revolutionary movement. SAMSON The prayers of all the saints have been heard   There we learn that the plan of God, with reference to man, spans three great periods of time, beginning with man's creation and reaching into the illimitable future. Peter and Paul designate these periods "three worlds."       The first, from creation to the flood, was under the ministration of angels, and is called by Peter "The world which was." (2 Pet. 3:6). The second great epoch, from the flood to the establishment of the kingdom of God, is under the limited control of Satan, "the prince of this world," and is therefore called "This present evil world." (Gal. 1:4; 2 Pet. 3:7). The third is to be a "world without end" (Isa. 45:17) under divine administration, the kingdom of God, and is called "The world to come – wherein dwelleth righteousness." (Heb. 2:5; 2 Pet. 3:13). GIDEON As in the day of Midian Isaiah 9:4, 5     The Jewish nation had been waiting for the Messiah, the Commander who would have liberated them from the power of oppressors. Such expectation could to be justified with a certain record in the book of prophet Isaiah. This record announced the birth of a child with the highly promising names: Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. This descendant would has sat down upon the throne of David, to establish the kingdom, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness as the government of the universal peace. This work would be supported with power of Jehovah of Hosts – Omnipotent God. This kingdom, once established, it would be eternal. (Isa. 9:6,7; Luke 1:31-33). Before the establishment of the longed-for Kingdom, the promised Messiah would to overthrow the powers oppressing throughout the centuries all peoples by their despotic rules.
